The Valkyre

In this alternate Marvel Universe, the Asgardian warrior known as Brunhilde, former leader of Odin's elite all female Valkyrior Guard, has been living her life for centuries on Earth as a normal human or rather the illusion that she's a normal human due to having her memories mystically wiped of her life as an Eternal & Asgardian warrior after the deaths of her mortal human husband & demi-Eternal children at the hands of Deviant enemies of Asgard who sought vengeance against her for her part, along with her husband the Viking hero Sigurd, in defeating many of the various plots they had undertaken against both the Eternals & normal humans.  Brunhilde asked that her memory of her life as an Asgardian be wiped by Odin since she felt she couldn't deal with the lost of her family and Odin granted her request due to her decades of loyal service as leader of the Valkyrior.  

Brunhilde wandered the Earth for several lifetimes until the present where she eventually assumed the identity of Barbara Norris and attempted to live a normal life.  She would regain her memories & full knowledge of who she really is when the Enchantress, learning of her existence & circumstances, seeks to use her as a tool against both Asgard & Thor during one of her joint alliances with Loki by altering Brunhilde once lost memories to reflect Odin being responsible for the deaths of her family long ago as well as wiping her memory.  Brunhilde would of course turn against Amora & Loki when she realizes she is being manipulated and re-establish her ties to Asgard.  The Valkyrie has since gone on to become a defender of Earth against various threats on & beyond the Earth realm aiding Thor on occasions when needed against foes that he faces as Earth's champion.  

Due to his courage & strong physical resemblance to her late husband, Sigurd, Brunhilde has developed an attraction to Thor, but has carefully kept this fact a secret.
