Wonder Woman II (Updated Design)

In this Elseworld Diana is the daughter of Queen Hippolyta of Themyscira and the Olympian god of war Ares.  Born the child of a near immortal Amazon and a “god” Diana possesses the combined physical attributes of both of her parents making her stronger, faster and more agile than the normal Amazon.  She also is more knowledgeable in the various forms of both armed and unarmed combat thanks to training received from her father Ares. She also inherited her father’s aggressive traits and love of all things combat which leads to her becoming on of the most skilled and formidable warriors of the Amazon Nation.  Diana was just a child when her home of Themyscira was devastated in an attack from the renegade faction of Isolationist Amazons who were against Queen Hippolyta’s actions that lead to the Amazon Nation becoming an active participate in the affairs of “Man’s World” and struck their former island home both in retaliation for Hippolyta’s actions and in an effort to prevent the Amazons of Themyscira from becoming a factor in their plans to place the world under their all female control.  

Her mother vowed after the attack upon their home that the Amazons of Themyscira would do everything within their power to oppose the Isolationists and bring about the destruction of their cause.   When Diana became of age she as princess of Themyscira took up the duties as the official ambassador of her people in the outside world as well as decided she would resurrect the mantle of Wonder Woman that her mother held before becoming queen and use it to battle against extraordinary injustices and threats especially those presented by the Isolationists Amazons.   Diana battled many threats as Wonder Woman both Amazon related and metahuman criminals of the outside world as well. She ended various plots put forth by the Isolationists who themselves sent forth agents of their own to accomplish their goals as well as oppose Diana such as the Cheetah, Silver Swan and Giganta, all renegades of the Isolationist Nation empowered thru a combination of Amazon science and mysticism in this Elseworld

Diana also met and befriended Steven Trevor Jr., the son of the man her mother once had a romantic relationship with when she was Wonder Woman.  And like her mother she too developed feelings for her Steve Trevor, but unlike her mother she would continue in her relationship to the point of eventual marriage to the younger Trevor.  Diana would go on to have two daughters with her husband, Stephanie and Cassiopeia (or Stevie and Cassie as they are known by family and friends) and would continue in her role as both Themysciran Ambassador and Wonder Woman (due to her resistance to aging and disease) until she passed the mantle of Wonder Woman on to her eldest daughter, Stevie, in order to focus on her ambassador duties full time.
